Helen Keller Fall Fundraiser
      The Helen Keller Services for the Blind Garden City League held their Fall Fundraiser at the Garden City Community Church to a full house. The Dessert, Card and Games Party, held on Thursday, Oct. 16 th , raised funds for Camp Helen Keller, a free summer day camp for children ages 4 to 15, who are blind or visually impaired.

      Garden City has won AAA's top Platinum Award for outstanding effectiveness of its traffic safety programs, AAA New York Assistant Vice President Mark J. Kulewicz recently announced.       The popular Read to a Dog program with animals from the Bide-a-Wee organization returned to the Garden City Public Library on Saturday, November 1st. Cathedral Children Catch The Halloween Spirit
      The Senior Youth Group of the Cathedral of the Incarnation provided a fun filled Halloween Party for younger members of the parish and their friends. The party was held on Friday, October 31 from 6 to 8 p.m. There were lots of traditional games such as Bobbing for Apples and Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin as well as many other Halloween activities.

Troop 56 Bike Hike Explores Northern Westchester
      On Saturday November 1st, the Boy Scouts of Troop 56, Garden City, ventured up to the North County Trailway in Westchester County for their annual bike trip. The boys enjoyed colorful foliage, beautiful scenery and mild weather during the twenty mile bike adventure past farms, houses, highways and reservoirs. The highlight of the trip was definitely the ice cream break at the ten mile mark.
