Holy Spirit/St. Anne's 2008 Cross Country Track Team

The Holy Spirit/St. Anne's 2008 Cross Country Track Team scored big at the Brooklyn Queens Championships held this past Sunday at Alley Pond Park. The team placed First in Junior and Senior Girls, and Second in Junior Boys. An exciting photo finish win by Stephanie Gerland secured Third place for the Bantam girls, an extremely competitive division. During the Brooklyn Queens sectional race held on October 26th, the team secured two First Place and two Second Place team finishes as well. This group of children has been training two nights a week since July and the hard work has really paid off. Congratulations to all team members on a job well done. The team is now set to run in the Junior Olympic Regional Qualifiers at Sunken Meadow Park on Sunday, November 9. Good luck to all the runners!
