Sarah Biscardi on defense. The Garden City Power U-12 Girls Travel Soccer team has two great wins on back to back weekends. On the weekend of October 25th the Power took on the Manhasset Meteors and came out on their home field ready to play. The winds were strong but the game went on escaping the rain. The Power did not need rain to cool down the Meteors they were able to do that all on their own. Early in the first half the Power began to dominate never allowing the Meteors to score. The Power demonstrated excellent skill and determination. The offense was smooth as the girls carefully and strategically continued to take the ball down the field to the Meteors defensive zone. The strong and consistent defense never allowed the Meteors to score. The girls are having a great season and they are truly enjoying the game. Each time they go out and play there is always a great team spirit. The Power beat the Meteors 3-0.

This past weekend the Power pulled off another win against the Rockville Centre Rising Stars. Previously in the season the Power took on the Stars at their home field and walked away with a tie. Although the Power dominated the entire game the Stars managed to tie the game up in the last few minutes. The Power was determined to take on the challenge once again and to play their hardest and smartest against the Stars. With careful coaching and team work the girls looked great. This time the girls were playing at St. Paul's and were feeling strong and confident and wanted to walk away with a win. Once again the Power dominated most of the game beating the Stars 2-0.
