It was a beatuiful day for a game and both teams came well prepared and ready to play. The match was even through the first fifteen minutes when Isabella Costabile took a pass from Amanda Volpe and drove toward the net shooting at a screened Princeton goalkeeper for a 1-0 lead. That would be all the Wolfpack would score.

The Princeton Tigers mounted an all out attack that the Wolfpack turned away at every point. Led by Amanda Medjid, Isabella Costabile and Amanda Volpe they held the tough Tigers offense to 2 shots on goalkeeper Gavrielle Holland, in the first half. In the second half the strong midfield play by Natalie Garcia, Charlotte Osborne, Sarah Kaval and Colleen McManus held the Tigers in check. The forwards led by Sara O'Brien, Natalie Pironi, Julia Giacinto and Sarah Banahan kept the play in the Tiger's end of the field for most of the half. The Wolfpack's second half defense led by goalkeeper Olivia Coffey did not allow a shot on goal.
