FIRE Baseball Stays Hot Into November
The U15 Fall FIRE team after their victory in the last game of the Fall Season
Although the calendar had reached November the U15 FIRE were still playing baseball on a beautiful fall day this past Sunday. The FIRE closed the season on a strong note with a solid 15-2 and 13-2 double header sweep of the Long Island Bulls. The double header sweep ran the FIRE winning streak to 5 straight wins and 7 wins in the last nine games. Additionally the FIRE won the last 3 of the last 4 games by 10 or more runs as they found their stride at season's end. The solid pitching down the stretch by Darryl Tan, Danny Muller, Tommy Regan and Greg Bellantonio led the way. While solid defense and stellar plays were turned in by Sean Kiley, Alex Passaretti, Brian DeBold and Ryan Ilardi. The offense was keyed by consistent hitting of Lefko Charalmombous, Niko Cerame, Danny Muller, Darryl Tan and Tommy Regan. The total team effort produced excellent results and an enjoyable season.
