GC Warriors celebrating their Quarterfinal win
GC Warriors celebrating their Quarterfinal win After a tough loss 1-0 loss to the top-ranked Roosevelt Falcons on Saturday, the GC Warriors came back strong in the State Cup Quarterfinals against the Smithtown Gladiators on Sunday. GC had previously defeated Smithtown 5-1 in a regular scheduled game, and not unexpectedly, Smithtown came to the game looking to even the score. The GC Warriors got an early goal to take the lead, but Smithtown gave them a tough battle throughout the game. GC scored a second goal later in the game to seal the deal 2-0. With this victory, the boys move on the semi-finals versus Dix Hills in the spring. Congratulations, GC Warriors!
