News From The Children's Room Why Story Time?
Why does the Library host story time? Children love having stories read to them. Reading is also a great way for parents and children to spend some time together. Studies have shown that there are many important benefits to story time. Reading aloud to children helps promote language development and love of reading, which better prepares them for school. Not only do children increase language skills, but children also gain a greater understanding of social skills and the world around them.
