"Science, Religion And Ethics"
On Sunday, November 30, at 11 am, the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island presents Dr. Austin Dacey, a philosopher who writes on the intersection of science, religion, and ethics.
Dr. Dacey serves as a representative to the United Nations for the Center for Inquiry, a think tank concerned with the secular, scientific outlook. He is also on the editorial staff of Skeptical Inquirer and Free Inquiry magazines. His writings have appeared in numerous publications including the New York Times, USA Today, and Science. He recently authored The Secular Conscience, Why Belief Belongs in Public Life, published by Prometheus Books.
The presentation will take place at the Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island, located at 38 Old Country Road, Garden City, NY (at the western end of Old Country Road, next to the water tower.)
