The Western Property Owners Association (WPOA) will hold its next general meeting on Wednesday, November 12, 2008, 8 p.m. at Homestead School. The agenda includes reports from the WPOA directors and Village and School Board trustees on current topics of interest in the Village. As always, the WPOA Board of Directors invites residents to bring issues of concern to be discussed with their fellow residents and elected officials.

The WPOA is seeking applicants for the position of Village Trustee (two-year term); term begins in April 2009. Any resident of the Western Section of the Village who is interested is urged to submit a letter of interest and a resume to: Mr. Tom Whalen, WPOA Secretary, 41 Dartmouth Street, Garden City, NY 11530. The deadline for submission of applications is Monday, November 24.

All residents of the Western Section are welcome to the November 12 general meeting. The Western Section of Garden City is bordered on the north by the main line of the LIRR, on the east by the west side of Tanners Pond and Edgemere Roads, on the south by Cambridge Avenue and on the west by Jefferson Street.
