Trojans JV Football Defeats Elmont 34-14

It was the Trojans against the Spartans as Elmont's JV football team traveled to Garden City on Saturday morning October 25th.
With 3:00 left in the first quarter, Elmont scored first and took the 6-0 lead but was unable to complete the two point conversion. It wasn't until the end of the second quarter that the Trojans were able put a rally together. With 2:15 left in the half, Connor McDonnell gave GC it's first points on a touchdown run, tying the score at 6-6. On Elmont's next possession, with less than 20 seconds left in the half, Brian Coleman intercepted the Spartan QB and returned it for a touchdown to give Garden City the 12-6 lead. QB Mike Comiskey connected with Connor McDonnell on the two point conversion to give the Trojans a 14-6 lead at halftime.
The Trojans were able to pick up where they left off in the second half as Andrew Calabro rushed for another GC touchdown. Ryan Norton's extra point made it 21-6. Patric Berkery's two touchdowns gave Garden City their final points as the Trojans went on to win 34-14.

Garden City will host Calhoun for their last game of the season at 9:30 am tomorrow, Saturday November 1st.
