Rut Ro, Here comes Ryan (Tank) Walsh!!!
Rut Ro, Here comes Ryan (Tank) Walsh!!! The Thunder 8's season to date had been primarily spent on the road, with the first four of five games being played in opposing teams towns. So it was great to finally play a home game in front of friends and families in the familiar confines of Stewart Field. The anticipation of the pizza party, I mean game, was the focus of the Thunder 8 boys on this cool fall afternoon.

With a vocal crowd on hand, the boys were poised not to disappoint. The Thunder offense got cooking early and often against a very big Hicksville squad. The boys would have to rely on speed and smarts to advance against the much bigger opponent. Their strategy was rewarded with long runs in the first half by Liam (Dash) Muldoon, Aidan (Slash) Byrnes, Luke (Cobra) Connolly, Teddy (TD) Dolan, and Josh (Terminator) Taylor. The offensive line anchored by Sean (Rocky) Rode, Patrick (Crusher) Kavan, Michael (Marauder) McCauley, John (Giddy Up) Griffith, and Liam (Jacked) Joyce more than held their own.

Meanwhile, the Thunder defensive line of John (Crunch) Campo, Tommy (Too Tough) Poole, Casey (Cinder Block) Noonan, Michael (Squash) Schwantner, Alex (Snake) Sutherland, Patrick (Bomber) Boyle, and Alexander (The Great) Campbell dominated the line of scrimmage. They were supported by Joe (Python) Perrini, Tyler (Watchdog) Wuchte, and Eli (The Punisher) Pagonis at linebackers and corners.

Thunder 8's get just rewards......pizza!!
Thunder 8's get just rewards......pizza!! The Thunder 8's dominated the first half by a score of 13-0. After scoring an early touchdown in the second half to go ahead 20-0, it was time to demonstrate sportsmanship and compassion towards their opponents. While showing respect for their opponent, the boys enjoyed watching Ryan (Tank) Walsh, John (Motor) McDonald, Michael (Mauler) Rush, and George (Condor) Cognard take turns running the ball into the center of the Hicksville Line. The final score was 20-7 to continue the Thunder 8's second half surge.

After the game, all Thunder parents, families and friends enjoyed a pizza party followed by luscious deserts provided by Thunder moms. Thanks again to all for a great day
