U-12 GC Warriors Defeat Lindenhurst
Defender Jonathan Granville clearing the ball
With a 4-0 loss to them in the Covanta Cup Tournament in mind, the Warriors went into this past weekend's game against the Lindenhurst Tidalforce not just with the intent to avenge the loss, but to show to themselves how far they have come since that time in late August. By the end of the game, they accomplished both goals. After scoring three goals in the first half, all of which were set up by unselfish passes, the Warriors continued to dominate the game in the second half. Even with a stiff wind in their faces, the boys continued their team play and developed opportunity after opportunity. Once again, Owen Fisher manned the goal for a shut out, while making a number of brilliant saves throughout the game. The boys now play Roosevelt Falcons for what essentially will be first place this weekend. On three, Go Warriors!
