Jack R. pushes ball out of Raider territory Following an impressive tournament in Windsor, Connecticut, the Boys U-11 Raiders continued their winning ways with back-to-back league wins, against talented teams from Floral Park and Syosett. The Raiders bested Floral Park, 2 to 0, on October 18th, and Syosett, 3 to 2, on October 25th, allowing the Raiders to continue their march up N-3 League leaderboard. Goals were scored by the likes of Brian Haeffner, Matt Lisoski, Mark Luglio and Mike Franco, coming off assists from James DeSousa, Owen Prendergast, Jack Fenty, John Mackey, and Owen Lucano. The always stingy Raiders defense was paced by Jack Riceman, Scott Kiley, Dylan Laderoute, and Jack Rogers, and goalkeeper Timmy Schmelzinger made a number of diving, game-saving stops. The Raiders next play Wantagh on November 1st at St. Pauls, in yet another crucial league showdown. Go Raiders!
