Christmas Boutique At Resurrection Church
Robert Ludemann in the book room
Saturday, November 8. is the date slated for a Christmas Mission Boutique to be held at the Lutheran Church of the Resurrection, 420 Stewart Ave., between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
Throughout the year ladies of the congregation hold weekly workshops producing beautiful crafts and ornaments. A special session of the workshop is devoted to creating hand knitted items. Shoppers will also find jewelry, books and a large selection of toys to satisfy the younger generation. The popular White Elephant table features lovely dishes, glasses, vases, clocks, ceramics, pictures etc, as well as an assortment of small electrical appliances. These are cleaned and checked out to make sure they are in good working order.
To grant a break during shopping, the church youth group will be maintaining a Country Kitchen where light refreshments can be obtained.
Members, friends and neighbors are invited. The true spirit of the holidays will prevail since the entire proceeds are to be donated to missions.
