Recipes For Low Carb, Healthy Living Presented At Library
Participants at the Library's Low-Carb Program sampled delicious, healthy desserts and also took home the recipes to make them. Linda Murtha, pastry chef and owner of The Best Ever Low-Carb Cakes in Massapequa, shared her knowledge as well as recipes for a low-carb, healthy lifestyle at a program at the Garden City Public Library on Wednesday, October 15, 2008. Participants learned the importance of living low-carb, particularly for those who are diabetics and celiacs. In addition, the attendees also enjoyed learning how to prepare delicious, healthy foods for themselves and their guests, no matter what dietary needs they have. Ms. Murtha brought sugar-free and gluten-free samples from her bakery and distributed some of her favorite recipes.
