Excellent team play lead to goals by Matt Flynn, whose shot to the near post lead to a 1-0 lead, while Bobby Clarke's goal finished off another series of passes to put the Warriors up by 2-0. Great game by goalie Owen Fisher, who had a big save on a penalty shot to prevent Deer Park from tying the score at 2. Sunday's State Cup game against the West Hempstead Thunderbirds ended up in a 5-0 shut out in the Warriors' favor. The boys repeatedly attacked the Thunderbirds' defense down both flanks, leading to a number of scoring opportunities. With the win, the Warriors now play Smithtown in the quarterfinals at Community Park on November 2nd.
