The Pepperidge Farm(r) Flavor Blasted(r) Goldfish(r) Brand, along with the NBA and Miami Heat's Dwyane Wade, recently announced the launch of a new fitness platform called GoldfishGames, which encourages America's youth to get active and have a great time doing it. It is part of a continued effort to inspire youth to have an active lifestyle through traditional games and using their imagination to create their own games. Goldfish Games will feature an array of games and activities to help keep kids healthy.

To further persuade kids to get up, get active and play their game, the Goldfish Games Xtreme Challenge began on October 1, 2008. The Xtreme Challenge is a contest encouraging children ages 6-12 to make up their own original game and submit their entry to Pepperidge Farm. Six finalists will be chosen to attend the NBA All-Star 2009 in Phoenix this February with their families. The finalists will play their winning games and be videotaped at the NBA All-Star Jam Session. They will also attend marquee NBA events throughout the weekend including NBA All-Star Saturday Night and the 2009 NBA All-Star Game.

The six finalists' videos will then be posted to the Goldfish Games Web site for the final voting phase where kids can vote for their favorite game. In June 2009, the Grand Prize Winner will be announced and will be awarded $1,000 cash.
