Mollie GCHS'98, passed away from melanoma in 2000. The foundation created in her memory, increases awareness for melanoma prevention, provides information and service on skin cancer detection, and supports melanoma patients through education of the latest treatments.

Last spring, Ms. Artibee's fifth year Spanish students translated the foundation's accordion brochure, "Have You Checked Your Skin Lately?" Over 150,000 English brochures have been distributed to colleges, universities, health fairs, athletic events, doctors' offices, etc. The new translation will be a valuable health education resource to the Latino community. Mollie's Fund thanks Spanish teachers, Ms. Artibee and Ms. Beckner for their support in completing this important project. For more information about the foundation, go to www.molliesfund.org
