On Monday, November 3rd HOLA of Garden City, Inc. will be collecting shoe boxes at the Garden City Library from 4:00-5:30pm for Samaritan's Purse - Operation Christmas Child. HOLA invites the children of Garden City to participate in this holiday collection by filling a shoe box with items such as toys, pencils, toothbrushes, hairbrushes, etc. and a shipping donation of $7.00 made payable to Samaritan's Purse. At the library each child will have the opportunity to wrap their shoe box, write a note, or draw a picture for the child (boy or girl) that he/she wishes to send the gift to. HOLA will supply all wrapping and writing materials for this event.

Samaritan's Purse is an organization that donates shoe boxes to children around the world who normally do not receive gifts during the holidays. For more information about Samaritan's Purse and how to pack a shoe box please go to www.samaritanspurse.org and click on Operation Christmas Child.
