The Board of Directors of the Property Owners Association of Garden City Estates Inc. has announced that its Nominating Committee is seeking candidates who are interested in serving as Village Trustees. Under the Community Agreement and the Village election process and the POA bylaws, the office of the Mayor of the Village is elected for a new term this coming April 2009, for a two term year term. In accordance with the Community Agreement, the senior Trustee from the Estates POA would be eligible to become the Mayor of the Village.

We are also seeking candidates for a second Village Trustee position.

The Trustee election will be held on Tuesday, January 20, 2009 at the POA Electors meeting. At the Electors meeting the candidate for Mayor will be designated.

The deadline for submission is Thursday, November 13, 2008. Prospective candidates should submit their names, address, telephone number and contact information, as well as a brief summary of their background, and a short statement of the reasons for their interest, to:
