Library Hosts Identity Theft Program
Brian P. Herrington, Assistant Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, from the New York State Attorney General's Nassau Regional Office talked to participants at the Library about how to avoid becoming a victim of identity theft.
Brian P. Herrington, Assistant Director of Intergovernmental Affairs, from the New York State Attorney General's Nassau Regional Office gave a presentation on identity theft protection at the Garden City Library on October 9th. According to the Office of the Attorney General, identity theft is the becoming the most prevalent and costly financial crime in the United States. Mr. Herrington gave tips on how to avoid becoming a victim and what to do if one does become a victim. The Consumer Tips sheets from the program are available in the Library.
Mr. Herrington, a representative from the Attorney General's Office, answered questions from participants at the Garden City Library's program on identity theft.
