Estates POA Seeks Candidates

The Board of Directors of the Property Owners Association of Garden City Estates, Inc. has announced that its Nominating Committee is seeking candidates who are interested in being interviewed for the position of Village Trustee. Under the Community Agreement and the Village election process, there is one position open for election to represent the Estates POA, for a term commencing in May, 2009. The Village Trustees serve for two year terms. The election for the Trustee position will occur at the Electors Meeting to be held on Tuesday, January 19, 2008.

The prospective candidates must submit their names, addresses, telephone numbers and a brief summary of their personal/professional background to the Estates POA Nominating Committee, as well as any statement, if they wish, as to their qualifications and reasons for interest in the position. Any resident of the Estates section may be a candidate and submit their name for consideration. The Nominating Committee will contact the candidates and establish interviews with the candidates.

The deadline for submissions is Thursday, November 13, 2008. All candidates should submit their material in writing to the Chairman of the Nominating Committee by mailing the material to:

The next regular meeting of the Estates POA is scheduled for Wednesday, November 12, 2008, at 8:00 p.m. at the Stratford School Auditorium. The Board of Directors urges all of the residents of the Estates POA to participate and attend our regular meetings.
