Fire Prevention Day& Open House
      The Garden City Fire Department has announced it will be holding its Annual Fire Prevention Day and Open House on Sunday, October 5th at Fire Headquarters on Stewart Ave in the Village Hall Complex. The event begins at 12:00 pm. The event is held each year in conjunction with National Fire Prevention Week. This year's National theme is "It's Fire Prevention Week: Prevent Home Fires!

      As part of the Sunday Forum Series at the Garden City Community Church, Jessie Rock will introduce us to the "Every Child Matters - Long Island Campaign." An Invitation From The Cathedral

I for one have always wondered what they eat, but, as you go through the supermarkets and the other food stores, you can easily see why they don't have to cook. There is so much pre-cooked food that you just have to zap, it does make their life easier.

      Perfect weather, a large turnout, and the generosity of donors and participants combined to enable The Friends of Mercy Medical Center to raise $50,000 at their 27th Annual Golf Classic. More than 130 golfers enjoyed play on September 18th at Rockville Links in Rockville Centre and the post-outing dinner paying tribute to Charles R. Joyce of Rockville Centre.
