Having fun on the playground. The week of September 8th marked the start of Garden City Nursery School's 2008-2009 academic year. New and returning students were welcomed by their teachers' smiling faces. Some children started out tentatively, while others were ready to play, but all are now adapting comfortably to the routine of the school day. There were many happy reunions with familiar friends, and new seeds of friendships have already started to grow.

Children in the two-, three-, and four-year old programs have also been enjoying the playgrounds that parents and staff prepared and refurbished in the beginning of the season.

Garden City Nursery School offers a cooperative structure which permits parents the rewarding opportunity of hands-on participation in their children's nursery school experience. The involvement of parents, together with the talented and dedicated teachers and staff, is an integral component of the success of the school.
