Kordes To Teach Garden City History
Once again, Garden City Public Schools "Continuing Education" is offering a course on Garden City and its history. The course entitled, "The History of A.T. Stewart's Garden City," will be taught by Village Historian John Ellis Kordes.
The five-week course begins on October 20 th and will be held at the Garden City High School on Mondays from 7-9:00 p.m. The final night of the course is planned to be held in the Cathedral of the Incarnation and will include a tour of the crypt.
This is an opportunity to learn all the stories behind A.T. Stewart and Garden City's fascinating past. Mr. Kordes, who produced the documentary film "A.T. Stewart's Garden City," and published the book "Visions of Garden City," has worked with Garden City's history for over 15 years.
