The Chamber of Commerce's 29th annual Fall Festival Street Fair - Garden City's all-community day, is set for this Saturday, September 27. For the past 29 years, the Chamber has joined with the Garden City High School in the presentation of its annual Homecoming Day Parade to step off on Seventh Street at 11:30 a.m. The fair will feature two trackless trains ... the ever popular carousel bounce ... money cube ... karaoke ... space exployer ... plus sidewalk sales ... lots of great food and displays by community organizations. Added this year will be the New Vintage Band (in front of the Texaco property). And, near Feldis Florist, Candy the clown will perform magic shows (around 11 a.m. and 2 pm) along with balloon animals and face paintings - all courtesy of Best In Show Pet Resort and Garden City Veterinary Care.
Please note that tickets for all children's' activities must be purchased in advance at the Chamber table - under the tent in front of Joseph & Joseph men's shop at 132 Seventh Street. Please also note that there will not be a rain date and if inclement weather cancels the event, a message announcing cancellation will be heard on the Chamber line at 746-7724.
If no message, the fair will proceed as scheduled.
