Gerard Smith pressures his opponent. On Sat. Sept. 13, the GC Warriors faced the Oceanside Vipers. The Vipers took an early lead in the game and held off GC's scoring attempts for most of the first half. Kyle Bratton was finally able to tie up the game with a goal scored right before halftime. The Vipers scored again, but GC remained undaunted. They consistently played the ball up the wings, and with on-point passing from player to player, Connor Tariche and Chris Larkin were able to net two uncontested goals. Finally, a beautifully placed penalty kick by James Walsh into the upper right corner of the goal sealed the deal for GC. Solid play was turned in by goalies Chris Larkin and Conor Muldoon, taking his first turn in the net for GC. Great job Warriors!
