Thunder, Set, Hut 1 The boys of the Moscatiello 7 year olds took the field for the first time this Sunday vs. the Hicksville Crusaders at Stewart Field. It was a hot and steamy day but our boys were ready for battle!

Powered by a thundering offensive line of Aiden Pfaff, Kevin LeBlanc, Albert Severini, Reece Hungerford, Tyler Sandoval, Timmy Curran, TJ Schmitt, Angelo Demiris and Steven Haas the boys were able to rack up big yards against a tough and experience opponent.

With the offensive line putting Hicksville on their heels the backfield was able to rack up big yards. Joe Scattareggia, Nick Rosato, Harry Murphy, Steve "Stevie B" Baymack were reminiscent of Ohio States famous three yards and a cloud of dust offense.

When it came time for Hicksville to get the ball they were up against the latest version of the "Steel Curtain" also known us the Thunder 7 defense. Campbell Munn, Christian Genussa, Brian Boland, Kyle Merritts and Collin Plunkett were all solid. On the few plays that Hicksville was able to get by the line our lock down Cornerbacks and Safety made big plays, Steve "Stevie M" Moscatiello, Joey Atherall, Brady Sullivan and Jackson "Texas Tornado" Bautch were light out!

Thunder's goal line D comes through with a stop It's amazing to see how far these boys have come with only 6 weeks of practice and more good things are to come from this team of fine young men. Our next game is against East Rockaway. Go Thunder!
