Mayor Odierna giving opening remarks at Kelleher Field. The Williston Park Little League organization donated and dedicated a Memorial Garden and plaque at Kelleher Field on September 11, 2008 in remembrance of those residents who tragically died on 9/11. League Vice President and Village Trustee Bill Darmstadt organized the effort and was assisted by the village DPW crews and fellow Little league members to create a beautiful garden. Thank you to Mayor Odierna and the Board, the Williston Park Fire Department former Chiefs Smith and Clarke, who rang the bell in honor of our residents as their names were read, the American Legion Color Guard and Pastor Fisher , of St John's Lutheran Church, who beautifully dedicated and blessed our village's memorial.
