Chamber Gears Up For Fall Street Fair
The Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its 29th annual Fall Festival All -Community Street Fair set for Saturday, September 27 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Seventh Street. There will be plenty of activities for the kids. Included will be two trackless kiddy trains - one of which is sponsored by the new Bank of Smithtown who will provide fire hats for the first 100 children to purchase tickets at the Chamber table in front of Joseph & Joseph. men's shop. Returning will be the ever-popular Carousel Bounce (at the Texaco property, along with the New Vintage swing band), carnival games, the "money cube," swingin' karaoke, great food and much, much more. Add to the festivities the Garden City High School's Homecoming Day Parade to step off on Seventh Street at 11:30 a.m. In addition to the many businesses exhibiting, Garden City Community organizations have been welcomed to also showcase and promote their missions an fund-rasier.
