The Ethical Humanist Society of Long Island is hosting an open house for its Children's Ethics Program (for children ages 4 to 12) and its Youth for Ethical Societies (for teens) on Thursday, September 25, 2008, at 7:30 p.m. Our Children's Ethics Program and YES program teach core values of honesty, integrity, citizenship, compassion, and ethics in a curriculum that incorporates classroom teaching, field trips, and social action projects. Comparative religion is explored by examining the belief systems of many faiths, without suggesting that any one faith is superior to the others. As an alternative to traditional religious education or as an adjunct to it, our programs teach children to embrace our motto, "Create a caring world." Please join us to learn more.
