Rosary Altar Society Luncheon
Rev. Msgr. Edward L. Tarrant Reverend Monsignor Edward L. Tarrant will be the keynote speaker at the St. Joseph Rosary Society's annual brunch on October 5th.
The title of his speech is "How Precious is the Gift of Faith." Rev. Msgr. Tarrant was ordained at Our Lady of Lourdes in Brooklyn for the Fathers of Mercy in 1950. He was a missionary in Kentucky before he was called to the Diocese of Rockville Centre. His first assignment was in September of 1960 as Curate here at St. Joseph's Church. He was moderator of the Rosary Society while assigned at St. Joseph's.
In his long career he was Chaplain of St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School, Associate Pastor of St. James, East Setauket, and administrator of St. Ignatius Loyola, Hicksville, as well as the Pastor there until his retirement in June 1999.
Reverend Monsignor Tarrant is now in residence at Corpus Christi Church in Mineola.
