Alberta Maggio, chairman of AAUW's Joy of Reading Club. On September 24 at 1:00 p.m. the AAUW's reading group will meet to discuss "The Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri. The immigrant experience of an entire family is exquisitely detailed in this heartfelt novel by a Pulitzer Prize winning author. Sally Richmond will lead our discussion. The book is available at the Reference Desk at the Garden City Library after September 1st. AAUW welcomes newcomers and regulars back for our book discussion.
