Chamber To Stage Fall Festival Street Fair

The Garden City Chamber of Commerce is gearing up for its 29th annual Fall Festival Street Fair to be held on Saturday, September 27 from 9:30 am to 3:30 p.m. on Seventh Street. As always, there will be plenty of fun activities for the kids including two trackless kiddy trains running back-and-forth on Seventh Street, plus the ever-popular money cube (kids catch the flying money); carnival games, and one of the biggest hits, the Carousel Bounce (thanks to the owners of the Texaco property) Powerhouse Karaoke and more.

There'll be plenty of great food provided by our local restaurants and eateries. Featured this year will be the New Vintage Swing Band of Belmont Festival fame in front of the Texaco property.Tickets for the kids' activities must be purchased in advance at the Chamber table in front of Joseph & Joseph mens' store, 132 Seventh Street. Adding to the festivities will be Garden City High School's Homecoming Day Parade to step off at the east end of Seventh Street at 11:30 a.m. Once again Bert Donley, musical MC will be touting out the various activities.

Member businesses and communitiy organizations who register with the Chamber will be showcased on Seventh Street between Franklin and Hilton Avenues, closed to traffic between 8 am and 4 pm. They must call the Chamber in advance at 746-7724, ext.101 to secure placement of exhibit booths.
