A.T. Stewart Exchange Celebrates First Anniversary
The Garden City Historical Society will dedicate its stately new flagpole in front of its museum on Eleventh Street on September 13 at noon. The flagpole was provided thanks to the generosity of the Col. Aaron Ogden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. You are cordially invited to attend The Garden City Historical Society's First Anniversary Celebration of the A.T. Stewart Exchange on Saturday, September 13th from 12:00pm to 5:00pm. The Exchange is located at the rear of the Society's Museum at 109 Eleventh Street. If you have visited us already you know this will be a special celebration, if you haven't shopped with us you will be in for a treat!
Our celebration will offer something for everyone. Attendees will be able to savor complimentary refreshments while browsing and shopping for antiques, collectibles, furniture, china and much more for your home. The shop offers an array of decorative accessories and one-of-a-kind merchandise that will keep you coming back for more! There will be many unique offerings available such as special reduced prices on many vintage treasures you won't see anywhere else! If you are looking for a special painting or print, don't miss this event. Come and see our gallery of Art available that day. In addition, to cap off the celebration the Society will be hosting a "Silent Auction" featuring estate jewelry, designer handbags and antiques such as a Victorian loveseat, cradle and much more! You will also be able to tour The Garden City Historical Society Museum. Tours will be ongoing all day.
On this special day the museum will also be celebrating the donation of a stately new American flag installed in front of the museum. The dedication ceremony will be held at noon. The flag was generously donated by the Col. Aaron Ogden Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
