Erik Larson's engrossing account of the Chicago World's Fair of 1893, Devil in the White City, will be discussed on Wednesday, October 1st at The Garden City Public Library. Bestselling author Larson writes a vivid account of the tragedies and triumphs of the world's fair. The book reads like a novel but is a factual account of the fair and the mass murderer who lurked within it.

The discussion, which will be moderated by Gloria Weinrich, will take place from 10 AM until noon in the Library's small meeting room on the Lower Level and is limited to 20 participants. No registration is necessary. Copies of the book will be available beginning September 2nd at the reference desk in the Library.
