The Garden City Retired Men's Club is a non-profit membership organization formed in April 1961 for the purpose of providing educational and recreational activities for the retired male senior citizens of the Garden City Community. The organization is non-sectarian and non-political.

All retired men 55 years or older residing in the Incorporated Village of Garden City, in the state of New York are eligible for membership upon paying a five (5) dollar initiation fee. If you are eligible and interested to join us, please come by. Every Monday is Open House. Or call Joe Leto at 248-9022.

The Club House facility is located at No. 6 Golf Club Lane (directly behind Lord & Taylor parking lot). The building is open every day of the week, except Friday, and offers 2 regulation size pool tables, television, cards/table Board games as well as outdoor Bocce, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Our Programs Committee is planning a very active speaker program. Come join us!

Our next speaker will be Althea Robinson, Executive Director of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce. During her many years with the Chamber Althea played an important role in the creation of a highly successful business community. Mrs. Robinson is a dynamic speaker with a true sense of how a viable business center can impact the inhabitants of the residental community. This is a session you rally do not want to miss. September 18t h is the date for our second member/non-member birthday party. 10 of our members will celebrate his 80th birthday. Wanted - Poker and/or Pinochle Players

It's not too late for a little Bocce and Outdoor Sports

The bocce and horseshoe courts are ready and waiting for some action. We need 2 more teams to complete our tournament roster. Get a partner and sign up. Sign-up sheet is at the Golf Club Lane Center. So, while the sun is shining and the courts are open...practice, practice, practice.
