      The Garden City Recreation Department's Fall Adult Tennis Lesson Applications are now available. In order to create sessions geared to the needs of our residents, we are asking any adult who is a resident in the Inc. Village of Garden City and is interested in our tennis lessons to visit the Recreation Department's Administrative Offices at 108 Rockaway Ave. and pick up an application.

Centennial Soccer Referees Needed
      All Garden City Centennial Soccer referees who have passed the Centennial Training course are asked to contact Steve Wieland at gcref@optonline.net if you are interested in reffing boys and girls soccer in the fall. In order to referee, you must be available on Saturdays between the hours of 9 a.m. and 1 p.m for the girls divisions and / or 1 to 5pm for the boys divisions.

Weekday Clinic Information
      The Garden City Centennial Soccer Club will be opening their Fall season on Saturday September 6th. Girls play 9:00AM until 1:00PM and boys play from 1:00PM until 5:00PM (with the exception of Kindergarten and 1st grade). The program runs for eight consecutive Saturday's with the exception of October 11th (Columbus Day Weekend). The season ends on November 1st.

Bombers Take East End Tournament
      The U-11 Bombers captured first place at the East End Soccer Tournament held in Mastic over the August 9-10 weekend. The boys played hard on both days, only giving up one of the five games played. All players put forth great effort in playing their postions and working as a team to come out on top!

GCHS Kickline Team Wins Awards
      The Garden City High School Varsity Kickline team attended the UDA Camp held at Hofstra University from July 10-13. This impressive group of girls won the Team Leadership Award and the Highest Total Points Award, and the Most Valuable Coach Award was given to their coach, Samentha Samuel.
