Residents Compete In Youth Triathalon
      On Saturday, August 2, 12 year old Connor George, 9 year old Margot Schroder, 9 year old Kelly George, 7 year old Ryan George, and 9 year old triplets, Julianne, Kaitlin and Danielle Larsson competed in the Mini Man Youth Triathalon held in Eisenhower Park. The race consisted of a 100 meter swim, a 3k bicycle course and a 1/2 mile run.

Gladiators Win Premiere Cup
      The U16B Garden City Gladiators started off their sophomore season in winning fashion taking 1st place in the "Elite" bracket of the Long Island Premiere Cup Tournament held at Mitchell Field. The team finished with a 3-1 record, 12 goals for and only 3 against with the only loss, a 3-2 thriller to the Albertson Academy 92 team which is ranked # 4 in NY State.

Weekday Clinic Information
      The Garden City Centennial Soccer Club will be opening their Fall season on Saturday September 6th. Girls play 9:00AM until 1:00PM and boys play from 1:00PM until 5:00PM (with the exception of Kindergarten and 1st grade). The program runs for eight consecutive Saturday's with the exception of October 11th (Columbus Day Weekend). The season ends on November 1st.

Garden City Basketball - Register For Season
      Visit www.gardencitybasketball.org to sign-up online for the 2008-2009 season. The registration fee is still $50. This season our program will operate Saturday in the MORNING. Paper applications may be obtained from our website, St. Paul's-Cluett Hall, the Island Garden, and/or the village of Garden City Recreation Office. The registration deadline is October 10th.
