The Wings in action ALL Garden City students in grades 6 through 12 are invited to join our two ice hockey teams. Our teams play in the High School Hockey League of Nassau County. The winter season starts with practices in the first week of September, 2008 and ends the last week of March, 2009. Each game is three fifteen-minute periods of change on the fly, full contact, ice hockey. Weekly on-ice practices last about 85 minutes and emphasize teamwork, commitment and fun as well as the development of individual skating, passing, shooting and checking skills. Our ice hockey programs include about 20 League games and 25 practices throughout the winter season.

The first three practices for the VARSITY team (grades 9 through 12) will be held on Wednesday nights September 3, 10 and 17, on the ice at 9:45 p.m., at Iceworks, 175 Underhill Blvd., Syosset.

The first three practices for the MIDDLE SCHOOL team (grades 6 through 8) will be held on Sunday evenings September 7, 14 and 21, on the ice at 6:25 p.m., at Iceworks, 175 Underhill Blvd., Syosset.
