Children Enjoy Chocolate Covered Worms And Waffles

Children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old received help from their parents and caregivers to make chocolate covered worm cookies at the Library.
Children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old received help from their parents and caregivers to make chocolate covered worm cookies at the Library. The Garden City Library hosted the last of five summer arts and crafts programs on Tuesday, July 29th. In the morning, children ages 2 1/2 to 5 enjoyed making chocolate covered worm cookies with Lisa Basini, "The Bakery Coach". Children in Grades K-2 and Grades 3-5 made waffles and ice cream with "The Bakery Coach" in the afternoon.

The Library's Summer Reading Program for children has included arts and crafts programs, story times, book discussions, and Wednesday Family Nights. Funding for these programs has been provided by the Friends of The Garden City Public Library.
