Children “Catch The Reading Bug” Through Book Discussion
The Garden City Public Library hosted eight book discussions for children this summer as part of the "Catch the Reading Bug" Summer Reading Program. Two book discussions per grade were held for children entering grades two, three, four and five. Book discussions for children in grades two through five will continue during the school year. The Library's Summer Reading Program for children also included arts and crafts programs, story times, and Wednesday Family Nights.

Librarian Devon Gallagher discussed Arnold Lobel's Mouse Soup with second graders on Thursday, July 31st. The Second Grade Lunch Bunch brought brown bag lunches to enjoy at the book discussion.
