Our summer reading programs "Catch the Reading Bug" and "The Caterpillar Club" ended on August 6th. Children who completed 3 or 4 activities and won at least one prize were invited to the Final shows! The Caterpillar Club's show, "Mr. S and His Hip Rockin' Music" was held on Tuesday, August 5th. The Catch the Reading Bug's Final show, "Robert Rogers Puppet Show Bugtown Follies" was held Wednesday, August 6th.

The winner of the Guessing Game for Week 5 was Emily Andreuzzi- who guessed 71. The actual amount of stretchy, bendable, growing bugs was 72! She was awarded all 72 bugs and a book . The Guessing Game for Week 6 was won by Regan Padala. She guessed 130 paint brushes and won a book, paint brushes & paint sets. Congratulations to both winners!

Registration for the Fall begins on Saturday, September 6th at 9 AM for story times and book discussions. Registration will take place in the Children's Room or on line at www.gardencitypl.org. Flyers will be available in the children's room shortly.

Please check the library website www.gardencitypl.org for upcoming events and registration dates. Funding for these programs has been provided by the Friends of the Garden City Public Library. Priority for registration and participation is given to children who are Garden City Public Library cardholders.
