Homestead School students Shane Ross, Emma Ruckh and Jillian Young, shown with their kindergarten teacher, Deborah Ward, have won Certificates of Merit in the 2007-2008 Young Author's Contest. Students from more than 80 schools throughout Nassau County Participated in the contest, which requires students to write a personal narrative. Congratulations to these three students for exemplifying outstanding writing skills at the onset of their educational career.
