Circus Comes To Cathedral Nursery School
      "Boys, girls and children of all ages!" joined Cathedral Nursery School Summer Camp this week. Lots of excitement as we entertained our campers with a live circus performance by Circus R Us. Unicycles, trained dogs and juggling acts delighted the campers and our neighbors from the Garden City Senior Center.

      The Garden City High School Class of 1978 will hold its' 30th reunion on Saturday, September 27th at the Garden City Hotel The event will run from 8:00pm until midnight and includes cocktail hour, dinner, dessert and an open bar.

Teens Complete Studies At Barry Tech
      More than 600 Nassau County teenagers were awarded Certificates of Completion from Nassau BOCES Joseph M. Barry Career and Technical Education Center (Barry Tech) during a recent graduation ceremony at the Tilles Center in Greenvale. One hundred and eighty six of them received additional honors for their outstanding achievements in their courses of study.

Summer Fun At GC Nursery School
      Since the end of June, the children at Garden City Nursery School's Summer Program have been enjoying a wide variety of activities. Through arts and crafts, music, stories, and water play, the teachers and counselors have engaged the children in fun, creative learning experiences. What a great season it's been!

Young Authors Applauded
      Homestead School students Shane Ross, Emma Ruckh and Jillian Young, shown with their kindergarten teacher, Deborah Ward, have won Certificates of Merit in the 2007-2008 Young Author's Contest. Students from more than 80 schools throughout Nassau County Participated in the contest, which requires students to write a personal narrative.

Garden City High School Fourth Quarter Honor Roll
      The following students achieved honor roll status at Garden City High School. Students who achieve an unweighted grade point average of 91 and above are awarded Principal's Honors. Students who achieve an unweighted grade point average between 87 and 90.99 are awarded First Honors. Students who achieve an unweighted grade point average between 83 and 86.99 are awarded Second Honors.

Me Ne Vado A Festa!
      On Friday, May 30th, a lot was brewing in the Garden City High School cafeteria. The school's Italian Club members and their supervisor, Lea Brunetti, were running around with streamers and tape in hand, moving about the cafeteria floors.
