The Garden City Retired Men's Club is a non-profit membership organization formed in April 1961 for the purpose of providing educational and recreational activities for the retired male senior citizens of the Garden City Community. The organization is non-sectarian and non-political.

All retired men 55 years or older residing in the Incorporated Village of Garden City, in the state of New York area eligible for membership upon paying a five (5) dollar initiation fee. If you are eligible and interested to join us, please come by. Every Monday is Open House. Or call Joe Leto at 248-9022.

The Club House facility is located at No. 6 Golf Club Lane (directly behind Lord & Taylor parking lot). The building is open every day of the week, except Friday, and offers 2 regulation size pool tables, television, cards/table Board games as well as outdoor Bocce, horseshoes and shuffleboard. Our Programs Committee is planning a very active speaker program. Come join us!

Speaker Program

We will have to be patient and wait until September 15 th for our next speaker, Mrs. Althea Robinson, the Executive Director of the Garden City Chamber of Commerce. Althea is scheduled to speak on that date. She will answer all of our questions about the business environment and other interesting facts regarding our fair village. Monday Sept. 15th 1 p.m. Don't miss it.

Coming - Another Big Birthday Bash!!

Yes, September 18 th will be the date for our second member/ non-member birthday party. There will be 9 of our members celebrating their 80th birthdays. We also invite any Garden City male resident who will celebrate his 80 th birthday during 2008 to join us. Non member residents must call Joe Leto at 248-9022 for details.

It's Time For A Little Bocce and Outdoor Sports

The bocce and horseshoe courts are ready and waiting for some action. Get a partner and sign up for the fall tournaments. Sign-up sheets have been posted at the Golf Club Lane Center. So, while the sun is shining and the courts are open ... practice, practice, practice.
