Residents Honored By Irish-Americans In Government
Three Garden City students--Colin Quinn, John McGill, and Erin Brennan--who graduated this spring from high school were each awarded $750 scholarships by IAG for displaying excellence in both their academic and extracurricular activities. Pictured at the awards ceremony, from left to right, are Colin Quinn of Garden City High School, Dennis Farrell, IAG's president, John McGill of Chaminade High School, Erin Brennan of Garden City High School, Donal Mahoney, a Garden City resident and former IAG president, Michael Hopkins of Garden City, who is also a past IAG president, and Nassau County Legislator David Denenberg of Merrick. Quinn will attend Princeton. McGill is off to the University of Scranton. And Brennan is going to the University of Pennsylvania in the fall.
