Senator Kemp Hannon (middle), accompanied by Assemblyman Tom McKevitt (right), recently held open office hours at Garden City Public Library, offering residents the latest information on the School Tax Relief (STAR) Program, the Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage (EPIC) Program, Family Health Plus and other New York State initiatives. Those who attended were given the opportunity to sign up for the "Do Not Call" Registry; obtain DMV forms for non-driver photo ID and other DMV transactions; and get information on identity theft, cell phone safety, health care proxy, college financial aid, child safety, online shopping, and a wide array of other issues affecting local residents.
