Classic Car Cruise Nights Underway
Oyster Bay Town Supervisor John Venditto invites residents to attend the Town's Classic Car Cruise Nights, being held Friday nights this summer at the Massapequa Rail Road Station parking lot on Sunrise Highway in Massapequa from 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. "Classic Car Cruise Night, presented by the Town's Department of Parks, is a great opportunity for owners of vintage vehicles to display their automobiles," Supervisor Venditto stated. "The event benefits community food banks, as each participant is required to bring two cans of food to register their car to be on display." Supervisor Venditto added that the event is free of charge to residents. Those who wish to display their vintage cars at the event are required to donate two cans of food. Motorcycle displays are not permitted. Rules for bringing your own vintage vehicle include having to stay for the duration of the event; having valid registration and plates; and registering upon arrival, beginning at 7:15 p.m. All vehicles must be driven by their owners. "This event is a wonderful opportunity to come out and either showcase a vintage automobile or view some classic cars that will be on display," Supervisor Venditto said. "I invite all families to come out and enjoy a fun Friday night admiring some of these classic cars." Supervisor Venditto thanked sponsor B-103, which will provide music for the event. Classic Car Cruise Night kicked off in June and continues on the following Fridays: July 18 and 25*; and August 1 and 8* (*depicts nights there will be live music).
