Dorothy G. Candiotti Bruce M. Miller
Bruce M. Miller, 82, of Denver Colorado, formerly of Garden City.
He passed away peacefully July 4th, 2008. He is survived by Charlotte, his loving wife of fifty seven years and his daughter, Kathy (Stuart) both living in Colorado.

Long time Garden City resident Dorothy G. Candiotti passed away Friday, June 27, after a long illness. Dorothy was 85 years old.
An active resident for many years, Dorothy was involved in many social activities and groups. Dorothy was especially active with charity work for the Helen Keller Services for the Blind, as well as a member of the Homemaker's Club, Garden City Country Club and their bowling league, The Community Club, and The Order of The Eastern Star organization. Her favorite pastime was searching for antiques, especially around Sag Harbor and the Hamptons out east.
Dorothy is survived by her sons Chip and Andrew, grandchildren Nicole and Jordan, and nieces Laura and Deborah.

Mary M. Kelly
Mary M. Kelly, of Garden City, died peacefully at home, surrounded by her family, on June 25, 2008. A graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Rochester and Chestnut Hill College, she married Edward M. Kelly, a Villanova graduate, after his return from combat in Italy with the First Special Service Force. In 1954, they moved to Fourth Street in Garden City, where they raised their family of 10 children. Their home was always open to the thousands of friends and teammates their children would parade through the house.
Mary Kelly believed she had been truly blessed with a wonderful life, for which she was ever thankful. She lived to see her children's children, and to see them embrace the ideal of family she embodied. Mrs. Kelly is survived by her children, Edward Jr. (Pam), the late John (Pam), Charles (Marge), William (Barbara), M. James (Barbara), Lawrence (Nancy), Gerard (Elizabeth), Mary (Barry McCarraher), Katherine (Robert Townsend) and Anne. She is also survived by twenty six grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews. Mrs. Kelly's husband, Edward M. Kelly, predeceased her in 1992.
A funeral mass was held at St. Joseph's Church on Monday June 30th. Memorial contributions may be made to the Children's Tumor Foundation, John M. Kelly Family Fund, 95 Pine Street, New York, New York 10005.
Helen Pierce Nagle
Helen Pierce Nagle, of East Hampton and formerly of Garden City, died last Thursday at her home. She was 91.
Helen and her husband of more than 60 years, the late George A. Nagle Jr., lived in Garden City from the early 1940's until 1993, when the couple retired to East Hampton. George Nagle served as Mayor of the Village of Garden City during the mid 1980's.
Born on July 13, 1916 in Medford, Massachusetts, Helen spent her early childhood summers in Kansas visiting her maternal grandparents, and later in Gloucester, Massachusetts where her family owned a summer home. She received a bachelor's degree from Smith College in 1937.
Helen was active in community affairs, serving as a member and officer of both the Garden City Community Club and the Smith College Club of Long Island. As a young mother, she was a Girl and Boy Scout leader. Helen was an active member of the Garden City Community Church and in later years she attended Saint Luke's Episcopal Church in East Hampton.
Helen was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, In 2006, Helen celebrated her 90th birthday with her entire family in East Hampton. "My mother enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family, and she took great care to make sure each of us felt appreciated and loved," said Sally, her oldest daughter.
Helen is survived by three children, Sally Nagle Spencer of Irvine, California, and William Nagle and Nancy Nagle Kelly, both of East Hampton. She also leaves five grandchildren, David and Matthew Spencer, Jennifer Conkey, Pierce and Peyton Kelly, as well as three great grandchildren, Owen, Jack and Drew Spencer. Her husband, George, pre-deceased her in 2001.
As per her wishes, Helen's family will scatter her ashes over Gardiner's Bay in East Hampton.
The family has suggested memorial donations to East End Hospice, PO Box 1048, Westhampton Beach, NY 11978, and The Nature Conservancy, PO Box 5125, East Hampton, NY 11937.
